Are you saying Paul's encounter didn't happen? If it didn't why did he change so suddenly from hating Christians to loving them?

He definitely had a change of heart that was dramatized in the account by the author of Luke-Acts. We don’t know exactly why, but I think it’s likely that it had to do with seeing the transformative power of the teachings of Christ.

How do you know it's dramatized? Is that based on evidence, or is it more of a feeling or assumption?

Paul must have witnessed the transformative power of Christ in the lives of believers before his own conversion, so what do you think explains the change in him?

Also, by that logic, couldn't someone argue that other accounts in the Bible are embellished as well? How do you determine which passages are historically reliable and which ones might contain embellishment?
